What do you get if you have strep throat on Friday? ... Saturday Night Fever.

I tell you having strep throat isn't a laughing matter but I needed to find a bit of humor in the situation even if the laughter hurts my throat. Strep throat has been nearly the most painful time I've had. It is right there neck and neck with labor pains. At least the labor pains only lasted a few hours.

I've been under the weather for a few days and barely on the site. (Sorry about that.) This was one of the reasons there wasn't an extended contest listed for a few days. But there is a great illustration contest listed now so fly over there to find out.

Also, I've cancelled the 'Candy' photo contest due to lack of entries. I guess there wasn't many Tricks or Treats this year. Well maybe there were tricks but that might have to be for a different contest. :D

Happy November and I hope everyone is doing well. Anybody doing anything exciting?

Coming up to our busy time of year with fundraising. We've got our street appeal in 2 weeks and I have this nasty idea that I'm organising it :o ......... uh oh, better start getting organised!

Oh, and yesterday was the first day of the stock car season. :D I take pics there every year. Just started editing the shots to go online

Hi happy, sorry to hear about your strep throat. Being sick is never fun. I have been so busy at work this week that I too missed the Halloween fun here. Those were some great contests too (great entrees as well)! I don't think I'll take off my halloween avatar just yet. :)

I've had the last week off just chilling out at home and rebuilding some energy. I'd been saving my holiday entitlement but now have to use it up. I get another week before Christmas and then the time over Christmas when our place closes down.

Still now I'm not looking forward to the backlog of work tomorrow morning ....

Sorry to hear about your throat. I did wonder about the extensive competition. You get loads of time to come up with something.
