At work we are running Quark 6.5 on Windows XP. There is an issue when highlighting text, when you highlight the program locks up and window pops up asking whether you want to send an error report. Then the program just closes on its own. Any ideas?

Sorry I can't help with XP issues...
My thoughts would be a bad font maybe.

.... just an odd coincidence though...

Today, for the first time in nearly a decade, I had to use Xpress. I downloaded and installed the 7 trial (Mac). And within minutes I remembered why Indesign is so much better. Ugh, what a slug of an application. And the bad news... Quark doesn't allow license transfers.. what's up with that??? I hate that company. /end rant.

i remember reading an article last week about how quark is finally getting around to updating xpress to better compete with indesign after years of not doing so. they finally figured this out? alas, critics say that xpress is just copying indesign.

Be aware.. articles like that have been circulating for the past 5 years. I'll believe it when I see it.
