iMovie Problem

When I load a clip into iMovie the video plays, but the sound won't. I've tried everything I can think of. The only sounds I can hear are my screams of frustration.

Make sure the audio sound box to the far right of the track for the clip is checked (the sound boxes are underneath a tiny speaker icon). An unchecked sound box mutes the audio.
