Just to remind everyone - If you desaturate and recolorize a copyrighted image you are infringing on said copyright. If you colorize a copyrighted image that is originally in black and white, then you are not infringing on said copyright.
To avoid further confusion, the rules for the Beginner Contest Colorization: Movie Couples has been updated to include the following clarification:
The black and white movie still used should be originally in black and white format, and then colorized by entrant. Do not take a color photo and desaturate it to use as your black and white image! If the original of your image was not a black and white...you will be disqualified.
