Wikipedia classifies them as copyright of the game developer if used within their site (see this link (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia:Image_copyright_tags/Non-free_content#Screenshots))

I would assume since the game is copyright, that everything including screenshots from games are copyright.

For use here.. it would fall under fair use and parody... for use elsewhere, they are copyrighted. Even the Photoshop UI is copyrighted and can't be used for promotional purposes.

I wish we had that fair use and parody thing in Canada. I have risked using movie stars occasionally as I doubt anyone would sue me, and they are being posted on a US based site, but in Canada if it says Copyright then you pretty much need permission for use of any kind, parody or not.

Check your email. I had a question about your gallery upload and sent you an email yesterday.

Unless there is a question concerning the image, uploads are generally approved within 24 hours of submitting.

The email was sent to your aol account. It probably got filtered by them. (One of the reasons I dropped my aol account.)

Anyway, the image was approved a couple of days ago since the question no longer applied. Also the image you submitted today has been approved.
