I wondering how they take the pictures for the tut's too. :wiggle:
To take a picture of the photoshop window itself, use the print screen key and paste it afterwards in photoshop/paint and add your notes.

The pictures for tute's are called screen shots. As Nizz said, press the Print Screen Key on your keyboard (top right block of 3 keys, usually). This copies a pic of the current screen to your clipboard.
Paste (Ctrl-V) into your image editing software and crop or resize as normal.

Jack taught me this one a long ago! If you are on a mac, push apple-shift-4. You'll see a cursor to select what you want. It will be a .png file. Open in PS and away you go!
Looking forward to something wonderful as a new tutorial for us all to enjoy! :)

Yes Maya,
Print screen, then open the image with Photoshop and crop it or edit it to your liking.
humm its very time consuming procedure
It takes just a few seconds to do this. Again:
1. get to a point you want to take a screenshot of.
2. click the print screen button (near scroll lock)
3. paste in an image-editing software (Ctrl + v)
4. crop/add notes.

It helps to get a screen-shot program. All the shots will be saved in a separate file and can all be opened at once in PS. I got a free one at downloads.com.
