Is there anyone who can explain how to shape texted to a curved surface...ie: a curly ribbon, etc. The program I want to use to do it is Paintshop. Any help appreciated. :)

it's hard to say with out seeing the curved surface, but here is a *real* quickie I did, If you need more expanation I could with something more indepth up. :)

text on a complex curve: "Draw out the curve you want to fallow with the Pen tool, click on the path with the text tool and start typing. form here rasterize the layer and Pushed the letters around with "Liquefy" to get it to flow with the fabric. Now erase any parts that are covered under folds.

In PSP you have to have your curve (the curly ribbon) set up as a vector object then overlay it with the text, it should follow the curve of the selected vector object. It may be easier however to draw a freehand line (again as a vector object) then overlay the text you want.

Personally I've found it nigh on impossible with anything other than a very simple curve.

Hey guys, thanks for the directions. I think I'm needing newer software. Mine's getting to outdated. I don't even have liquify :( I'm gonna try your way Dave; it's just a simple curve so it should work.

Thanks again,
