It's one of those vexing little things.
I am trying to insert music into a PowerPoint presentation. I know how do do this when I am playing the powerpoint on my computer, which, of course, has the music on it.
But does anyone know how to embed a musical clip into a PowerPoint so it can be packed up and burned to a cd?
If you Insert, Sounds, From File and choose a WAV file of say 50kb, it will be linked to your presentation.
But if you first went to Tools, Options and set Link Sounds With File Size Greater Than: to more than 50kb, PowerPoint would embed the WAV and you wouldn't need to worry about the link breaking because there'd BE no link.

So, in other words...in powerpoint go to the "tools" menu. Choose "options". then click the "general" tab. then set the "links sounds greater than x" to a really high number. Bigger thank your wav file. Then re-insert the sound file using "insert sounds file from". Then powerpoint will embed and not link the file.
here you go ;)

Consider your hand firmly shaken.
Throw in a very guy-like-friendly smack on the back.
I appreciate it, Chris. Thanks!

your welcome :)
Don't they make things nice and simple these days :)
Thanks! I've been wanting to know how to do this for a LONG time as well! It's the thing I hate most about presenting a powerpoint show... On the last presentation I had to make I just used flash cause I had so many sound files in there I just KNEW it would cause too much problems if I would've used PP.
