About 2 months after I purchased the Creative Suite 2 for windows I started having problems with Illustrator not opening correctly & the .exe file disappearing (i know it sounds dumb but I swear it does) & then like anybody who has talked to tech support about anything before I restarted my computer & then reinstalled Illustrator. When I do that it will work for a day or two but in those couple days I can't get GoLive to open while Illustrator is open. GoLive won't start at all when it has a problem & Illustrator starts up but as soon as it actually opens I get a error message saying something along the lines of "Illustrator cannot perform the requested operation"??? I've tried EVERYTHING from deleting prefrences to reinstalling the whole creative suite after reformatting my computer. Please help. I can't find any help in the adobe help files or online.
Try this link (http://www.adobe.com/support/techdocs/331298.html). I hope it's what you want.

Thanks, I'll definitely try it & sorry about the sig, I didn't even realize I had it here, must have put it in when I signed up awhile ago & forgot. Thanks again for the link & the welcome.
If the link doesn't fix the problem do come back, our resident CS2/Illustrator experts are US based in the main and still asleep :)

Another thing (And by the way, Welcome, from me as well! - Glad you're here!) If you have a windows operating system, make sure you disable any virus protection or firewall, or any other programs operating in the background before installing. And like Dave said, there will be others here before long.
^^^^ I think that might be the problem I have with Nero 7 DVD burning ..... too much running at the same time ....

I'm no expert, but I was thinking that it might be a memory issue? I know my lappy gets wonky when I have CS and Dreamweaver open, and if I have to preview something in Firefox, the wonkiness grows exponentially. I just don't have enough memory to handle everything, so things are weird until I reduce the load.
Only a thought, other than that, I don't have any clue and shall step aside for more knowledgable folk.

I've got the Adobe CS2 Suite premium package and updates, as well as Premier Pro 2.0 and haven't had an issue with any of it since I upgraded to 4 gigs of RAM and switched my motherboard out for one with 2x 3,000Mhz processors on board.
Everything runs fine now with multiple programs open.
I did however have similar issues before getting the RAM.
Good luck.
