Joanie, I'll be sure to point Scott in the direction of this thread as soon as he gets home tonight. I'm sure he can answer any and all questions about tablets that you might have. :)

I will :)

Differences:

Graphire:
512 Pressure levels
No tilt
No buttons on the tablet

Intuos:
Smoother radio frequencies
1024 presure levels
Tilt functionality (The tablet knows the angle your'e holding the stylus at)
16 programmable buttons across the top of the Intuos 2

I've used both Joanie. The Intuos is noticibly smoother and more sensative. And I'm not just saying that to make a sale. I'm only selling the intuos 2 6x8 because I've upgraded to an intuos 3 6x11.

Joanie- I use the Intous 2 6x8. When I bought it, the 1024 pressure levels is what sold me. (More is definatly better in this case!) I bought mine in 2003. I have never seen a reason to upgrade, it works perfectly for me! Every online upgrade has worked perfectly as well. I've changed the tip once (out of paranoia, not necessity). I have never utilized the programable buttons, but I only use it in PS and Illustrator. I this case I use keyboard short-cuts with the pen.

I could never imagine doing the finer things in chopping and in my work with out it! :)

Go for it Joanie! wish I could afford it, I am still stuck with the old 4x5. It is OK, but to upgrade is so expensive, at Scott's price it is affordable, a great deal that you should not pass up if you intend to go for a tablet.

(commision coming my way Scott?):)...really that is a great deal, the 4x5s are so much better than a mouse, but I would not want to use anything larger and then have to go back to the smaller tablet.

OK, you guys, you sold me, and after I scoured the Wacom site and other blogs. Scott, paypal will be the easier way. One additional question. Do you have any documentation, manuals, installation cd?

When you have time email or pm the way you want to handle.

Thanks Linda, Bernie. I appreciate all the info! :)
