Step 1) Take one King Midas ....

Ages ago I remember seeing one on gold embossed lettering (in PSP 5 or 6)!

Aahh, what brilliance, can't wait for the tut, in the mean time, i'll just try and attempt it again

Here is a half and half of Gold and silver that i have tried, using 'Curves' and 'Hue and Saturation'

the gold doesn't work, but the silver i feel is on the right tracks, but i feel its just not right

Chris49
10/01/2005, 12:20 PM
Yeah the silver is on the right track but That gold looks a little bit like butter :D :D Your probaly only two or three stepes away form it. It's all ways fun to try and figure a way to do it on you own IMO :)

WAIT MUHHHAA HAHAA

basically it has to do with a specific type of curve and using a color adjustment tool to your advantage

Have you tried this:
1 make your selection
2 Ctrl/J to copy selection on its own layer
3 Image>Adjustments>Gradient Map
4 Click on down arrow next to color box and select “gold”—(if gold isn’t there, click on the right arrow and a drop down menu will appear, select Load Gradients. Choose “Metals”)
5 then go to Image>Adjustments>Brightness/Contrast—play with the settings until you like the way it looks.

Hope it helps.
