Contest entries non voting and placement.

Just to clarify to everyone.

If you enter a contest, fail to vote and are in trophy position, your image will be removed from trophy position. That means no Hall of Fame points and no jackpot credits.

Now, we are human and we realize all of you are too. We know real life can be more important than contest voting. If you know you won't be able to vote in a contest before hand just message an admin. Without a message we don't know if you've just forgotten to vote, don't want to vote, or simply can't vote so your image will be treated accordingly.

Seriously though - Thank you very much for the heads up Jolt! Just another reason to be a proud member of Pixel Addiction! Keeping everything fair and reasonable for all of us!!

I can't imagine life more hectic than it is now in my own personal life. Nor can I imagine my life without PA, giving me that small outlet to forget all that is around me. I feel it a priveledge to be able to submit my meager images that will be voted upon, by all of my fellow addicts. So please, one and all, submit and vote and in doing so, you make this old ladies day! Just think of your Mom, chopping and creating...and what a riot it is to be a part of her joy!

yeah, everyone should vote (fairly). i have a (2nd place) contest entry disqualified! and i tell you, i hated myself for failing to vote :(.

well, what will happen if i am not able to vote and pm the admins (like if i cannot access a computer for the rest of the voting period)?

You're asking what happens if you enter a contest and then don't have access to a computer to vote or even tell an admin that you can't vote?

yup! what will happen to my contest entry?

like let say, i entered the advanced contest, but i will be like on a vacation for the rest of the voting period (without access to computers) and pm the admins that i cannot vote because of this situation.

If that's the case, enter your image and immediately PM one of the admins to let them know you'll be out of town during the voting period. If you are uploading an entry, you're on the site, so you can take that time to PM an admin and let them know you'll be out of town for voting. Remember, this isn't something that we want to happen on a regular basis. If it happens occasionally, that's fine. But, if every time you enter a contest you PM us and tell us you can't vote, we'll figure you just don't want to take the time and it will cease to be a valid excuse not to vote.

If you tell us immediately upon entering an image that you won't be around to vote, no, your image won't be disqualified. If, however, you tell us three or four entries in a row that you can't vote...that's another story.
