View Full Version : Jolt! You are a real...
fine artist (http://www.illustratorworld.com/cgi/database/art/view.pl?id=5685).
And I freakin' love the Audio Cubes, too. Awesome work.
Oh, and this guy (http://www.illustratorworld.com/cgi/database/art/view.pl?id=5686) nearly made me cry. I had no idea Illustrator was capable of that. Or is he using an additional program?

That's great Jolt!! The style reminds me of old Heavy Metal album covers.
One talented guy I think :)

That other image is amazing, isn't it?
I missed the direct link first time round and had to find Jolt's work so didn't actually see the image PDG was referring to.
I've seen that face somewhere before :-

[/QUOTE]You're dealing with a rank amateur here Jolt, what's that mean then?
BTW any chance of switching this one I've got so the face is on the other side of the screen and not covered up by all the icons?

DUDE! You're in step-by-step??? My subscription ended about a year and a half ago. I love that script. Can I get an autographed copy?
Scott
04/26/2004, 01:43 PM
:) it's sbs Digital Design.. and off-shoot published by Step By Step. It's not like being in the actual Step by Step mag. I think SBS Digital Design is fairly new and they are just getting it started. Autographed copies run $50 in Denar only. Requests must be mailed on teh forst tuesday of teh month directly following Summer solstice and must arrive no later than the winter equinox. You must also dance naked in moonlight showering yoruself with daisy pedals and singing the popeye theme.

BT...go back and edit your post and upload your image to our server using the "Manage Attachments" button under the post box. It seems that FN isn't a place that links well....:)

Macintosh web browser Safari shows little blue question marks rather then Internet Explorers red exes. So ...... little blue question mark = red x... same thing... or difference.

AGAIN? You didn't get enough of that last time?
Seriously, I'd love a signed copy. Digital SBS is the new name for "Electronic Step by Step" and changed names like two years ago. It is pretty much how i learned most of what i know in PS and was my all time favorite industry mag.
Congrats man, big kudos

I'm gonna buy it whether you sign it or not, then I'll mail it to you. How did you end up in there anyway? Can you just submit?
Scott
04/26/2004, 02:52 PM
Actually you can just submit, which i found out later.. But I was personally approached by a writer that saw my work at Illustratorworld.com
That put a huge grin on my face. :)
FTP'ed the .ai file to her and did a 30 minute phone interview. Then a few emails to iron out exact steps. I should be seeing a PDF proof sometime soon.

That will bring a sh*tload of positive exposure. I just read a 3 page article on it in HOW magazine. You can even send out Press Releases and get some local/national exposure in magazines or news. Very good idea indeed, Claven. You guys should give this SERIOUS consideration. I'll participate in a heartbeat.
