Hi there. :)

I'm trying to create a new skin for my forums, which means having a "curved" effect around pretty much everything, rather than the basic "squared" look. I have got this image...

But it's not the colour I want, and I was wondering if there's a turorial anywhere that would show me how to change the colours, but keep the same "effect", rather than just creating one solid colour? :)

With Photoshop you could add a hue/saturation adjustment layer and set it to the color you need, then mask the edge to keep the background white.

I don't know of any specific tutorial lufbra

Gifs usually are in indexed colour mode, it is easier to change the colour if you go to edit>mode and change it to RBG to work on it. Hope that helps ;) When you save it for web again it should revert back to indexed...

Maybe a tutorial on creating the button from scratch? That way, you could make it whatever colour you want. Have a look at good-tutorials.com, there's is almost certainly something there.

or grab a selection of the button make a new layer above, fill the selection with the color you want and then turn the layer to color mode.

It will then have a blue, yellow (or whatever color you choose) shade
thats normally the way i do it
if you want the color to be strongen duplicate the color layer and set it to multiply or overlay (just try the layer modes out and play with the opacity)

Thanks guys, but unfortunately I'm not that image program savvy, I can open up pictures, change the style/effects of them with what's alrady available, but when it comes to using tools and layers etc, I'm totally flummoxed. :(

you can also select the layer by holding ctrl and click on it than go to layer - style - colerfil and give it a color and there change the layer mode in the menu and the opacity
should be no problem
if you still have one just ask
