anyone know how to get rid of this black box that appears when i select ANYTHING!
im using OS X Tiger, any help would be wonderful, this thing is dam annoying

Actually I think that's jut built in as a selection indicator., If you get rid of it, how will you know what's selected?

actually it just started happening out of the blue...i dont know if i hit something or not...i was working in quark then then this stuff just started popping up....b/c it fades when it selects, now this black box happens too

Ahah.. it's a universal access thing for seeing impaired people.

go to the Utilities folder and launch the Voice Over Utility. Under "Display" UNcheck Show Voiceover Cursor.

THANKS JOLT!!! i guess i didnt realize wut it really was at first b/c here at work i have my computer on mute...
but its fixed :)
