View Full Version : Important Photography Contest Addition!

In case you hadn't noticed, we now have two photography contests live on our home page. We decided to add this contest best we seem to have quite a few budding photographers in our midst.

The first contest is listed as "Photography Contest". This contest is a shorter version of our extended photography contest. It will have a 2 day submit and 2 day vote...and they will run continuously starting immediately. The other photography contest is still in the "Extended" area and will continue to be a 5 day submit and 2 day vote. This area will be reserved for the more difficult types of photography contests...contests that may take longer to get photographs for (i.e. photography scavenger hunt, etc.). These contests will also be run continuously. We may, from time to time, run a specialized Illustration or Photoshop contest in the Extended area as well, but this will not interfere with the short version Photography Contest that has just been added.

If you have any questions...this is the place to ask them. :)

So dose this mean that there is going to be more Illustration/ Photoshop contest in the Extended area? :)

We're hoping to run an Illustration contest really soon. The problem is, we have more photographers than illustrators, so getting enough entries is sometimes a problem. Scott is so busy at work lately that contests he would normally enter, he just doesn't have time for. But...if you have a preference as to illustration types, let me know and we'll see what we can come up with. :)

Hey everyone! I just got back from vacation (Oregon coast). Had a blast and it only rained on us 2 days! Anyway, its nice to see the new photography contests I think this was a great idea. Here's an idea for the extended contest - why not combine both illustration and photography into one contest? You could take an ocean picture that you shot (I have several now) and paint in a pirate ship or something with photoshop.

Great to see the extra photography contest!

Only a pitty that i dount have the time to enter as much as i want!
Saw some great contest!

Its great how you people come up with all those great contest ideas.
