Because I've got the times here set to BST (GMT+1) I have difficulty in remembering how much you are offset from us. I know East Coast Time is 5 hours off and Pacific Coast is 8 and you're somewhere between the two :)

2) Explain it to me again, I don't understand. I can see it's aesthetic values (:p) but what are it's practical purposes, that's where I'm utterly lost .... as usual.

The practicalities are:

Opening your favourite website (click the logo)

Knowing what time it is in PA-land at a glance (the original reason I started designing it).

Seeing how much of your precious memory/hard disk space is being used.

Seeing if you have any new mail, and how many for each account (good for the site email) at a glance.

Control of your media player without having it on screen all the time.

I had Sysmetrix downloaded at one time, and there were so many gauges and whistles and bells, I didn't know what half of them were for...LOL!

I'm sorry Trin.. I forgot about your PC whistles and bells. We're set now though.. headers might change a little (better images on the sides and maybe a slightly differnt pattern) but colors are set... 462468 and 008080

- All of it almost all of the time (currently 19.5Mb free according to my cache manager). Hard disk space .... several gigabytes :-

- I get an icon alert when I get new mail.

- I very rarely listen to music when I'm online. If I do it's to soothe myself so I play Classic FM radio.

I do use Windowblinds, Trin. I love having the windows all custom made. Makes them look more personalized. I have lots of them and change them to match my desktop wallpaper regularly. It's like an every day thing....get up, shower, dress, makeup, change my Windowblinds look, check email. :)
