I've recently acquired my first digital camera. While I'm really enjoying the camera, I've discovered that digital photos accumulate at an alarming rate. Any tips, tricks and/or programs anyone would care to share on managing this avalanche would be appreciated. Thanks.

Google have a free program called 'Picasa' that is good and an excellent price!
The Adobe Bridge that comes with CS is good on it's own, I used Picasa until I got CS2 recently.

Adobe Photoshop Album Lite is good (and free) from Adobe's website.

I like the CS browser. Mostly for being able to tag the pics so you can quick search for them later:D

The delete key! ;-)
Seriously, after awhile you have got to become more selective and ask yourself, "Why am I keeping this shot?" Either that or copy them all onto CDs/DVDs and throw them into a shoebox along with the hundreds of film prints you've accumulated all these years. :-)

Thanks for the input. I'm having a look at Picasa and the Adobe program. I have a sneaking suspicion that BlackSlate's advice on using the "delete" key more aggressively is going to be very worthwhile, too.
