I've been cropping photos to whatever dimensions seems to look good to me. I have this fear that I'm going to wish at some future date, that I'd of cropped them to a 4x6 or 5x7.
Should I be trying to stick to traditional dimensions?

If they are your photos, I'd really hang onto the original image. That way, you'll always have all the options you ever need.

Yes, so you can crop for different needs.
I mostly keep my original file with the adjustments (levels, curves etc etc) and then depends for what i want it to use for i make a copy that i crop to that specific job.
Works perfectly for me.

Me, ... I always back-up all my pics leaving them untouched (settings may vary on what kind of job I think).
