View Full Version : Just why the hell is Jolt so busy?

I randomly emailed a company about a month ago. it was just a general inquiry asking about artist submissions and how they handled that. I wasn't expecting much of a reply. Maybe a nice form letter at most. But I thought "Hey, it certainly can't hurt to ask."
Well what I got back was great :)
They asked me if I'd be interested in doing a "collection" for their image catalog in a given style they saw on my web site. A collection generally encompasses 25-40 images. This company markets and sells CD stock art images. Then I would receive a percentage of the sales of my CD or any CD which contained one or more of my images. Well, of course I said yes :)
This meant that in the past month I've had to do a lot of sketching. In all I completed close to 90 sketches. I ended up sending off 83 for approval.
I just got the word back. They've accepted 53 and requested minor changes to bout 12 of them. So.. this next month means I'll be feverishly creating TONS of vector art. :)
Silky's been great. So patient and understanding.
Anyway... when the CDs are available I'll post a link so you can see :)
Okay I'm done rambling.... just had to tell everyone.

Thats cool, and realy a grate opportunity. I was wondering if the images be in vector form? I ask because I have never seen stock art in a vector format.
Scott

Yup, all 53 images will be vector. it's more of an upscale "clip art" package.

I have to say I think your work is a bit more then upscale clip art. I've seen your duracell battery. ;)

Your heart must be bursting! And I'd say it took "them" long enough to notice! Can't say there is anything more wonderful than to see our child or spouse noticed for their achievments! Now I am just waiting for Dave to insert some genius quote descibing my thoughts! :)

Looks like they finally did a little posting at the site I was working for. I'm not certain if it's complete (it doesn't look like it to me).
