Patch Tool

I'm on PS v.7 and was wondering if there was a way to use the patch tool from one layer (source) to another layer (destination,) and also, if there was a way to change the blending mode of the tool itself. Any help would be greatly appreciated. :)

You need CS to use multiple layers. And... if there's no blending mode option in the options bar, then you need CS for that too.

you can save your layer as a new image and work from it to the original.

So you can patch across documents but not across layers, hunh!
