I'm sorry i've been slow...I was intending to finish some nearly-completed pictures and get them up here very quickly, but at the moment i am up to my ears in paper work for the childminding stuff, as well as doing all the groundwork for this bridal-wear business a designer friend and i are starting up, as well as working all day in shops and then childminding in the afternoons....and trying to keep the house in order, spend time with Elise (and Trin when he manages to remove himself from the pc!!!) - so my art is on the back-burner at the mo...

Which, to be frank, is fucking frustrating and really getting to me...I've made a start on a new painting that i think has the potential to be a good 'un and i REALLY want to crack on with it - but have had to put work stuff first for now as we are in enough financial trouble as it is! As Trin has been so suppiortive of my plans to go self-employed i feel i have to keep my end of the bargain and make a really good go of it.

I hadn't really registered how little of my art i end up keeping either - i thought i had more oldies stashed away but i did have a bit of a clear out a while back and a lot of them were binned.......Sometimes it's more about what i get out of my system in doing them then about trying to create something i still love and want to keep 2 years down the line, y' know? There's certianly some i really regret binning now so i don't think i'll be doing that so much in future! I've ammassed about 30 sketches and semi-completed ink drawings etc that i've been keeping because there's something in them that i really like or that really inspires me to work on them - and eventually turn them into paintings, so once i've finished the things i'm working on at present my next project is going to be to start work on these...As they are concepts i am already pleased with i'm hoping they will be relatively straight-forward to develop - so in a couple of months time there will hopefully be a load all ready at once....

I'm sorry for not posting much recently either, as mentioned above i've really got my hands full with work stuff that just wont wait right now, but i promise this is only going to be for the horrible next 6 weeks that are (in theory!) going to be the nasty transitional period from current jobs to new lines of work...

Hey no apologies are necessary, real life matters come first. It's more of a shame that you're having to hold back on your art .... just don't let go of it!

This is a place you can come and relax, natter when you want and have absolutely no pressure to do anything .... other than enjoy yourself. Silky has told you that already :)

Now you know why we guys will never throw that old shirt away .... a battle I loose more often than not! LOL

I do miss being here - well, i manage to look in most days, but i don't feel like i'm 'properly' here if i'm not posting and nattering away with you all....Will be doing lots of work on business plans etc on the pooter in the evenings now so will be able to nip in and out and generally post more, yaay! :)

I've also been a bit quiet because of all the stuff that's been going on for you all as i have not been personally involved myself as such (although i very much feel it because it's affecting Trin and you, my wonderful new friends) and...Well, i know you know what i'm referring to and i don't want to go dragging it up when you're probably all fed up to the back teeth with it, but just wanted to say that Trin has been keeping me posted and i'm absolutely furious that such lovely, kind, friendly and all-round decent people such as yourselves have been having to deal with all that crap...I gather the general consensus is to forget 'em and move on - they aren't worth (sorry!) losing a monents peace over, and i do think that's the best way to deal with this, but....if there is ever anything i can do to help you only have to shout and i'm there. :)
As for giving up on the art Dave - never fear, that'll never happen! You lot don't get off that lightly! :D
And as for old shirts arguement...Well Trin is lucky there - the more ripped and worn it looks the better for us goths!!! ;)
