Ok, I found this while fishing around on a photography site:
Apparently this only works for Canon EOS cameras, but considering that is all the forum talks about I bet you can apply it to other cameras.
If your image is soft you use Unsharp mask to bring it to it's full potential.
Here's what most pro's are using in PS (it's for the mark 1D series)
Unsharp Mask Filter Settings
Amount 300%
Radius 0.3
Threshold 0
Now considering I never owned a Mark 1D or Mark 2 for that matter I tired out these setting with my Digital Rebel and now my 20D.
I found that on the digital rebel if you play with the radius from around 0.3 to 1.2 you can get a really sharp image.
For the 20D a radius from .3 to .9 seems to be the most approproate beyond that it became blown out.
Hope someone can get some use out of this
And if someone tries it with a different brand of camera let me know and post it here.
Enjoy :D:D
