I wanted a little place where I and others can alert you to the fact that we've spotted a minor error on the site and I want you to very clearly understand that you don't need to drop everything else you're doing and fix it this minute. I also thought it would be better than having several of us bothering you with the same minor insignificant detail.

So when I/we spot something can this be the thread I/we post it in for you to deal with in your own good time .... and I just wish I could do it myself to take some of the strain off you.

Err yeah .... not sure how to explain it.

The unread flashing flag does not work correctly :-

1) It comes on after briefly leaving the site for threads I've already recently read.

2) The only way to turn it off succesfully is to back out of a thread level by level. If you jump out by more than one level the flasher stays on. Backing out turns it off unless you then leave the site. Then goto 1)

3) There are two new threads as of today in the General Forum, they were not flashing at me even though I hadn't read them.

This sounds like a damn complex fix is called for .....

yeah... that's somethign with browser caching and user sessions.. it'll take a bit to fix that one.

Okay.. the message trackign jsut annoyed the shit out of me.. those javascript popups that asked if youwanted to confirm or ask for a read reciet. I just turned of tracking for everyone to kill the popups. I can turn trackign back on if youreallllllly love those pop ups :)

Right, now to confuse you completely. I tested this out with Sil and she got the same odd effect.

This is what I did ..... I posted two test messages, one in "Admin Paradise" and one in "The Cracked Pipe" .... simple enough so far?

Right then starting from the "bb/index.php" main forum click on the "Admin Paradise" forum to find and read the new message. having done that back out by clicking the "Admin Paradise" and then "Da Bosses Digs" links. The "Cracked Pipe" forum will be lit up in bold cyan(blue/green) instead of burgundy(red/blue).

You have to see it to follow my drift. :)

Next oddity (well 2)

Uploads - count (for me) reads 5 in the message forums but there are only 4 images in my gallery.

Comments - in Member Galleries (http://www.pixeladdiction.com/pp/showmembers.php?cat=500&password=) it says there are 5 comments, where as there are only 3.

Might be a count thing with the uplaods I'll update counters and see if it helps. As for the comment.... votes count as comments so you've got 2 votes where noone posted, that's all. You can't think of the gallery "comments" as only posts you can see. It also counts just votes. Unfortunately the gallery doesn't know the difference between votes and posts.

Not that I remember, nor have there been any deleted comments as far as I know, not on my gallery anyway. Maybe it's counting the imge in the cage match, which has now disappeared as a result of the gallery forum's appearance .... now that's a fair swap I guess :)

hmm.. it's countign something... could be the cage match image.. but I deleted the db tables for that part before we altered everything. Guess we need to see if Sil's is one image off too.

My post count dropped for a couple of reasons. I deleted a bunch of posts in a forum where I was testing icons, smilies, etc. Also, we deleted a couple of forums...which resulted in the post count dropping. S'okay, Dave...I know you talk more than me anyway. ;)
