Pen tool tutorial

In many of the posts I have read, along with a few books, it has been said that the pen tool is a powerful tool indeed. Can someone create a tutorial to prove this? Each time I experiment with it I cause utter havoc and destruction. Please, please, show me the power!!

Hay Joezilla and GraphicallyPut, The pen tool. well, It's a tool where its more about practice then anything else.

When I was first learning the pen tool I picked a project that was in need of many selections. A good and fun way is to do this a colorization of a B/W. Just play with it.

But if you need a Tutorial this is a good place to learn they have some real good stuff at this site.
