I'm not sure if spring break vacations had anything to do with this, but when I looked at the Cage Match between D Rock and Dave, I noticed there were only a few comments. I don't know if people just aren't voting or not noticing. Maybe if we had an optional little sound play that said something like "CAGE MATCH" in a really low voice everytime there was a new one, it would get people's attention. Ok, so that was far fetched and silly. ;) Anyway...

What I really meant is maybe there could be a way to draw the eye to that part of the page so people realize matches are going on. I myself often miss voting in other people's cage matches just because I never notice they are going on.
Just a thought. The low feedback can probably be attributed to people being on vacation.

Please tell me what you think,
James

Welllllllll, James...when there's a cage match in voting it says...in red letters..."VOTE". We can't do any more than that to bring attention to them...short of posting them in bright red letters smack in the middle of the homepage (and that's just not gonna happen). :)

Yeah, people miss them...but maybe you should just sorta train your eyes to glance in that direction when you're on the contest page. :)

Doh. I didn't notice they were ready for voting. Maybe we need something a little more attention getting.

I think a RED banner that said "VOTE NOW" would help. kind of like the WINNER banner http://www.pixeladdiction.com/bb/images/winnerbanner.gif

Maybe we could hire a flasher who'd run naked across the homepage every time someone clicks on it. He can hold a "Vote in the Cage Match" banner as he streaks by. :D

Of course, we don't have the money for that...but seriously guys, a big red "Vote" sign should be enough to garner enough attention to the cage match area. Contestants in the match can always post a voting reminder in the forums if they want to. But we have no plans to change the way the matches are set up and/or displayed. Sorry folks. :)

Hay, I'll do it for free, but I think you would soon find no one voting ;)

Wasn't there some type of fine print wording about this in the Cage Match Moderator Agreement?
