Hi there.
I've at least become somewhat efficient at page curl, so I've gone on to Janee's page curl, http://www.myjanee.com/tuts/curled/curled.htm. I can manage to get the shape but then everything goes pear shaped! I get to step 4i, but do not seem to uderstand the add layer bit. I add a layer but it doesn't show in the paths pallette, after that it goes down hill!
Can someone help me please.

Damn, that reads like Japanese stereo instructions!
A new layer won't show up in the paths palette, it'll be in the layer palette :)

Create a new layer after you've made your path. Then go to the Paths tab in the palette, select the path (click its thumbnail) and select fill path from the fly-out menu.

What step exactly is giving you trouble tuggie? and what version of Photoshop are you using. There may be an easier way to create her path.

I cant get past section 4, getting stuck on4i, which I assume makes 5 impossible!
I have version 7.

okay... 4i,
Add a new layer, in the layers palette.
Then go to Window > Paths (or View > Paths, I can't remember where it was exactly in v7)
The path palette should pop up and have a path in it from what you've drawn. That's what she is referring to.

It doesn't, but somehow I've created one by clicking who knows what.
I have the curl now, shaded and looking beautiful, but can't seem to get it alone over the photo, it has the fill attached all the time!

Bl***y hell.
I don't know what I've done but I have created the effect!
Not perfect but it's there!!!!!
I'll finish it off and send it to you, if I can figure out how!

make certain your mage is within the required size when attaching it tuggie. Less than 500 pixels wide.
