Whilst perusing the contest entries I thought, 'Wouldn't it be nice if I could see what the original looked like - for comparison.'
Of course this would only apply to the FF's and the new beginner series, but it would be nice to have a link under the image for a side by side look at the before and after.

The contention is an image should speak for itself and you mean in the FF and current beginner contest it doesn't apply. For other contest you can always include a link it just wont hyperlink as HTML isn't allowed with contest entries (for security (?) reasons).

Personally I think sometimes it helps to have a link to the original image to give evidence of the subtleties of the photoshop work done. Sometimes having the original available shows up the faults and costs you marks .... :)

Just take the current cloning contest, for example. I would have liked to have been able to see where the sculpture was to see how well that area had been covered, and exactly WHERE it was instead of trying to remember each cloud and wave.

Try having more than one window open ....?

That and I haven't had time to code it in a secure way. It's safer to just strip all html right now (which is done automatically).

1-9, or can I call you integer? :)
You can open the full view of the FF contests or the current beginner contests and leave that up while you look at other images.

I can easily place another link to the themepost under the entries.. but wouldn't that just be wasted code? The link already exists at the top of the contest page.

Maybe I'm not fully understanding.

Dave, that's what I usually end up doing - it tends to put a strain on my system resources since I multi-task anyway.

I meant really a side by side (with a smaller thumbnail?) but I guess the image size limits that capability, somewhat. Why don't we just forget about it, I see what you mean about the fullsize in another window. That will do better than me opening another browser window.
-Integer? Wouldn't that take longer to type than 1-9 or One or 1 or hey, how about #1 (j/k.)-
