My wife just called me with some news. She went and bought me a new camera. She got me a Canon 20D kit. She's bringing it over at lunch so I can play with it. Watch out Happy I'm gunnin' for you now. Here's what it looks like and the specs on it.

No psych out, I'm suprised myself. I was actually expected to get a new camera, but not this soon. To fill you in I ran into a problem with that new Canon 100-400mm lense, it was to heavy for the digital rebel's plastic body. I found that out that last trip to the zoo. The body kept creeking and sounded like it was going to snap of the lense. So, I decided that for the benfit of not destroying that new lense I better get a camera that could handle the weight. And now I do :lots: man I love my sense of justification :D:D:D
Can we do a wife swap .... purely for the camera buying bit you understand (mine said "no way!")

You see Dave, I have an understanding with my wife. Buy me the camera and you'll never have to take the baby to a potrait studio for pictures. When you cost it out it is cheaper to buy me the camera and let me print out the photos than it is to let someone else do it. It's all in the fine print :deal:

Nope I have a new carbon fiber tripod with a ball head on the way as we speak. The tripod I had before would buckle under that kind of weight :D

OMG smilies... :):):):):):):) Flashes are usually a scam anyway. Fill flash can work, but I'm no fan of flashes.
