Let's get ready to ruuuuumbllllllllllllllllle. Who wants a shot at destroying me in a cage match? Anyone... anyone... Beueller... Beueller... Beueller? C'mon, sounds like a lot more fun than Flash games, eh? It's a slow week for me and my left-mouse-button finger is getting itchy. Any takers?
Well now, taking on a total unknown quantity, no contests entered (and finished), nothing in the personal gallery ....Hmmmmm
What would you like to beat me at?
Photoshop only I've no camera and can just about draw a teeny tiny stick figure ... oh and a boat! LOL

Haha Dave, I'm in the same (stick) boat as you are. My first entry will become visible at midnight tonight if you want to wait, OR (reaches into his pockets to verify that he is still a man) if you're willing to roll the proverbial dice... my idea would be a straight up image manip. contest with the image supplied by a third party and voting along these lines: 1/3 for quality, 1/3 for composition, and 1/3 for humour/sentiment/originality, or something similar we can agree upon (but quality is important as I am still learning and would like to use this opportunity to hear some no-bull critiques on my work.)
We could take a week and really churn out something beautiful (well, you could) or two days and get this over with, it really doesn't matter much to me (but I could use a good project these days.)
As for the prize, how does 10 credits + a loser avatar for a week sound? (If I lose, I will kiss your avatar's *bum*.)
Either that or Flash bowling (I need to polish my technique there, too.) lol
D Rock could take on the winner. :)
Hey maybe we could get this to go on forever. Put your quarter on the chopping block. NEEEEXT!!!!
Voting has to be based on the site's guidelines for voting, it's tough enough as it is :)
How about a nice out of bounds involving people or a person?
Time - from agreement to +7days, voting for 2 days, 10 credit entry, loser avatar ... but no butt kissing allowed! LOL
No voting by combatants ....

Human o.o.b. for a seven day contest, and I won't touch your butt when I lose. Agreed.
BUT since you know so many people here (and I don't) there has to be a caveat/penalty about pimping for votes. Or does that already apply?
So our submissions must be in by 11:59 pm on the night of the 9th Feb. 2005, but what are we gonna do about the time zone thing? Should we use the clock on the site, or GMT?

Hey you guys don't forget to fill in the blanks so it's easier for setup:
Preferably, in the first post of your thread, please include the following information for Cage Matches:
- Participants?: (someone vs. someone)
- Type of Contest: (photoshop,photography,illustration,etc.)
- Theme or Description: (Details and Descriptions)
- Submission Time? (When do entries need to be done by?)
- Will Participant's Vote? No, participants will not vote
- What are the stakes? (losatar, bragging rights, etc.)
Finally, once all the details have been determined, edit your thread title (or PM an admin) that the Cage Match is 'ready for setup'.
Thanks! :OHF:

There is no "vote pimping" here. :)
In a cage match you aren't allowed to reveal your entry until after the contest is over, and since entries are anonymous, well...unless you say something to someone about it being your entry, no one EVER knows. :)
Besides, if I catch anyone vote pimping, I'll get my big burly hubby to beat them senseless. :D

We won't OHF, just ironing the wrinkles out of the deal, and I guess we should let Trin know when we are done, right?
Oh and Silky, ahem... did I say pimping, I meant... uh... skimping, yeah skimping. Nobody should be caught skimping on their votes. *wipes sweat from brow* ;)

Actually either Trin or I can set up the cage match.

Roger that!
Okay, here it is ....
- Participants?: 123456789 vs. Dave
- Type of Contest: photoshop
- Theme or Description: Out Of Bounds involving a person or persons
- Submission Time? 7 days from now (close at midnight on 10th March) with 2 days voting on 11th and 12th
- Will Participant's Vote? No, participants will not vote
- What are the stakes? 10 credits and a one week losatar
Now all that needs to be done is for the title of the post to be changed to "Cage Match 12345679 Vs Dave ready to post" .....
And may the best man win :)

Oi oi Dave you have your work cut out for you if the phobia contest submission by one is anything to go by. Good Luck!!!!!

By the looks of your avatar, you're shaking in your pants, and you're not even wearing boots.
Anyhow, I told you you could wait to see my first entry. ;) Butt, seriously, it didn't score much better than average (even though it took me forever,) and I've never done a real out-of-bounds. On the other hand, you've done some great oobs (just checked your stats) which have scored well. I'm sure it'll be a good contest (as long as I learn something, it's all good.) Besides, this is supposed to be a FUN match, right? I'm looking forward to it. :)
Fun?
Oh yeah .... sure ....

Seriously, all votes are appreciated.
Thank you, and good luck Dave. :)

Looks like the best man won. Congratulations and I look forward to seeing what you cooked up for my losatar. It WAS fun!! Thanks, I'll have to take you up again one day (but not too soon.) :)

Well done Dave, some really impressive work there!!!!!!
Thanks 1-9 .... now I've got to find a suitable losatar .... what joy :)
Libra thanks for the lengthy critique, it was spot on.
My thanks also to Jolt and OHF for their help in the making as it were.
Sometime later ....
Well here's your losatar, I hope you like it and wear it with pride (yuk yuk). It's been a long time since I did any editing in Animation Shop.

That's really cool, Dave. I WILL wear it with pride. And I must say, it's almost subtle - you're a lot nicer than I would have been. heheh Do you have a copy without the red lettering? I might just use this one when my week is up. :)
ps- once again, Dave I just wanted to say that I really liked your entry and think you deserved that win. Not your average o.o.b. When I saw it for the first time, I remember muttering an audible and distinctive, "Uuh-ooh."
Here's the orignal, the changes are (without the text addition) - invert all the frames then move the last four to the front, resize all frames to be 100x100 or less

Like I hinted I had some great help from Jolt who had me do some major changes to the original with his advice and then Happy for a good pair of eyes on the revision (we wont mention her slight error :) we were just greatful you were in the arcade at the time)
Again thanks for the match.
