whats the difference between a regular digital camera and a digital slr? is one better than the other? can you take the photos from the slr and put them on the computer the same way a regular digital camera can?

SLR is something to do with viewing through the lens - Trin told me that. SLR cameras are better than normal cameras but I don't know about digital ones. To me the SLR means you get EXACTLY the view that will appear on the photograph. I can see no reason why you should not be able to pu the images on to a computer from either type of camera.

The biggest difference is the following...there are many more but this is the basic reason:

With an SLR, you get to choose where to focus your camera. You also get to switch and choose different lenses for different projects.

It's really the same as choosing between a point-n-shoot 35mm camera and a 35mm SLR. One is used by professionals and one is used for casual shooting. Though lately, the line is getting blurred.
