OMG, I think I am going to loose my mind.
I am trying to do a sig, I have the background done (*.jpg) I have a picture I would like to blend into the background, BUT I can't seem to get the blasted thing in. I have looked at (quite literally) HUNDREDS of sig tutorials, some tell me to select the overlay pic and drag to the BG, all I get from this is the ant line box, no pic.
what in blazes am I missing/doing wrong?
please help, I now have a HUGE bruise on my forhead and an equally huge dent in my desk.

Thanx

On the image you want to overlay on the background, Select all (CTRL+A), then press CTRL+V on the background to paste it as a new layer. Sorry if this is too simplistic but I'm not sure I'm reading the question correctly :)

It may help if you post the images up on here.

To drag between two images make certain they are both in the same color mode... Image > Mode from the menu. If you've got a gif in index mode you won't be able to drag it to an RGB document.

OK, here is the update.
what every tutorial failed to mention was to use the BLOODY MOVE TOOL.
once I figured that one out it was SMOOTH sailing.
Thank you guys for setting me in the right direction.
I will start using the sig as soon as I get it totaly finished.

uhmm.. true. Image signatures aren't permitted. They tend to do more to get in the way than anything else.

Sorry.
