I Scream, You Scream, We All Scream For I Scream.
Somehow I thought the deadline would be 12PM PST. Some great entries for this contest!

Ha! Job with all of the screaming on the totem poll. I missed the deadline as well.

Great concept, as jameschino88 said the screaming totem poll is great. A couple of small things that may have improved it overall...The light over the window could have been on, this way the sign could have been brighter and more obvious, and 2nd, maybe a bit contrastier overall so the totem poll shows up better. Good job on a tough assignment.

I agree. I wanted to put the light on but it was 11:30 and I was trying to get it in by 12PM (which turned out to be too late anyhow). I'm not sure exactly how I'd do that, but I think I'll work on this some more and see what I can do. I love trying to solve these kinds of problems. It's way better than chess. I also wanted a different backdrop, something that would be old-townsy or a castle on a hill, or something, but I didn't have time to find anything. I'm too slow (but getting faster).
Thanks for the feedback!

I agree with three comments above! Ice cream sounds good about now, cause I'd get in whole mess of trouble if I scream at this hour. you- Dave...such a joker...
I agree with Burndog about the lighting, on the porch...if I were to take up the challenge I would 1st brightly light up the inside of the lamp, use that Wacom! Then I would make a new layer and play with the external glow, use the Wacom! I would make a separate layer of the cows skull and mess with a lighting effect in your filters.
I would then go in the cottage and make another layer of the people, as individules. (Sure wish I could spell better) If there getting their light from with inside then find the source and adjust accordingly. The really great image of the person with its hands up stands out to me because there is too much purple in her. Wouldn't be such an issue if the light cast was making them all purple. Throw that layer into image-color balance. Get rid of some of the off coloring in there or if your brave, try out the Levels and Curves.
In my opinion, you did not need to find an alternative background. The eye is immediatly drawn to the theme of your picture - I scream! Although we often go against this theory.....the eye NEEDS a place to rest. And your image gave ones eye, just that! Your cloning was smooth and your source images ideal! And a fantastic idea! Way to go!
