Has anyone ever bought into that "FREECOOL" type advertizement and actually gotten anything? Just curious. Are there any programs I can sign up for to test things which I don't have to go and ENROLL everyone else to get credits?
ANy info or comments welcome.
Thanks

I never go in for anything that offers that kind of thing, you don't get something for nothing :)

There aint no such thing as a free lunch.

You can get the SETI screensaver and process the data packages, you might be the one to find the aliens! There's no strings attached to that.

Well, I know Sony gives out demo game disks if you sign up to give reviews, so that kind of thing is legit. I know that pretty much every website with free stuff is a sham though. I was just thinking that maybe, just maybe someone knew of one.

James, I'm confused what exactly are you after?

Free coupons or vouchers?
Free credits like you get when you joined PixelAddiction?
Free computer games?

There's always freeware (usually has ads these days) or shareware with limited free time or reduced ability.

There are several peer to peer programmes that allow you to "share" games, music, DVD's and other software, the legality of it is constantly being questioned by all and sundry. Go to it and enjoy I say.

I'm finding a lot of those little flash(?) banners where you have to shoot the criminal, cockroaches, boxing or whatever are pretty entertaining. Now that I'm on a Mac I don't really worry about getting jammed with crappy spyware by taking a minute to play these FREE games...
