So whatcha think? The only thing I noticed was the rather strange placement of the hand & cigarette in regards to the camel's posterior.
Is that because cigarettes smell like a camel's ..... ? LOL
Looks very "art-deco, chic, hip, in-crowd". Attempt to associate (BADLY) with drunken bawdy audience at Mardi Gras? It certainly pulls away from the mandatory warning (which is very small compared to what you would get here)

Hmmmm...I like the "feel" of this ad. There's enough going on visually to get my attention. Like PDG mentioned, I question the placement of the woman's hand near the camel's rear end...especially since the rear end seems to jut out in front of the hand but go behind the arm (an optical illusion, I'm sure, but questionable nonetheless). I like the colors, and the Mardi Gras beads adorning the cigarette package. Although I don't think this ad would entice me to smoke, I think it's a decent ad that would catch my eye.
Nice choice, PDG!

I like the fact that it's an illustration and that it doesn't quite fit into the usual 'boxes' - i.e. the 'arty' shot of a 'sexy' model/'sexy' young crowd having a party/cute animals/something 'clever' and abstract etc etc...
I think it's the whole smugness thing that seems to pervade so many ads these days that really gets on my nerves - and this doesn't have that for me, it just says 'here are some ciggies that are nice if you like that sort of thing'.
It does have the obligatory attractive lady but i think the fact she is drawing makes her more eye-catching...There's something far more honest and interesting about an illustrated ideal straight out of somebody's fantasy than there is in a photo where a model has been made up, lit and airbrushed until they conform to the media's current concept of perfect. How dull!
I think we are all now so desensitised to the whole young/slim/beautiful ideal that is used to sell everything from coffee to carpets these days - that there's something really refreshing and eye-catching about something simple, well illustrated and fun.
I like the rich colours too - makes a nice contrast to the glossy, metallic, space-age effect a lots of ads seem to have now. :)

This one at least seems to fit some-what more seamlessly than the last.
Nothing exceptional by any means, but not terrible either.
But if the Camel is wearing beads, does that mean he took his top off also?
:p

Not only that, but isn't it funny how they gave the camel "Rasta" beads.
