Is Macromedia Freehand MX as good as Adobe Illustrator? How do they differ?
I have Freehand, but haven't gotten around to learning how to use it yet.
Thanks for any help.
I use both. I begin with Freehand strictly for it's Brush. Drawing in Freehand is, well, like drawing freehand. If you draw the silhouette of a tree, it will calculate the boundaries and render the entire tree as one object. I haven't been able to find a way to do this in Illustrator without creating one looong line. Anyways, once I'm done, I export as an EPS and finish in Illustrator.
I'd rather use Illustrator for the whole thing but sketching in Freehand is just funner for me. Also, I'm more intuitively adjusted to Adobe products. Freehand is kinda confusing for me.
