Hi everyone;
First off, hope all the people in the U.S have a wonderful Thanksgiving. We sure enjoyed ours.
O.k I've just finished a picture and saved it as a JPEG. I've noticed now that since it's on our desktop, that there are lines going through the picture, (it's from the wings, and I guess when I extracted them I didn't get rid of the lines) Anywho, when I go to open it up again in Photoshop, I can't seem to get rid of the lines. I've tried the eraser tool, but when I erase them I get the transparent background.
I have no idea how to fix this. Is there a way to fix this now that it has been saved as a JPEG. Should I have saved it as a psd instead? Or do I need to start all over?
Picture is attached
Thanks in advance

I love the composition. Really nice. What a great smile and happy eyes that angel has! You didn't say what you used to create this. I only know Photoshop. If that's what you're using, the Healing Brush Tool would be the first thing I'd try. The Clone Stamp Tool or airbrush may also work in spots.

You can open a jpeg in PS and work on it. Probably you would have already tried that if you were using PS. Oh well.

I guess we can all be thankful for angels like yours.

Good Luck.

You could use the healing brush to make them go away. I always save a .psd of anything I create in PS. Usually right before I save optimized as.

saving as a jpeg automatically flattens your layers. JPEGS are fine to use but you probably want to save a copy of the file as a psd with all the layers.

Don't start over, those lines are really easy to eliminate.

I'd use a clone stamp rather than a healing brush, but that's just preference

Hi,

Thank you all for replying back. I ended up using the clone stamp tool and it worked great, except I had to redo her hand a couple of times as she ended up with more dimples on them lol. I will also start saving as a psd.
Yes she certainly is a sweety, and always on the go, never stops unless she's sleeping and in her terrible 2's, but we love her to death.
Thank you again

I loved the wonderful 2's with my son. He's now 22 and I still love him to death. Here's a current picture. Same great smile and happy eyes.
