Installing stuff to Photoshop

I have just recently gotten the the photoshop wow 7 book, but I cannot get any of the brushes, filters, actions and whatever else there is to install to photoshop. I have tried what the book says, but every time I do that and open photoshop, I see nothing new? Please help me. :bang:

With actions, there's an arrow to the right of the Actions box. If you click it you get an option to "Load Action". Click it, find the action on your comp and it'll load it. This should also work for brushes.
