Meet my newest family member

She came with the name of Lady. She is a Hounddog/Rotweiller mix, about 18 months old and has the gentlest personality. But my goodness is she strong.

My wife and I just adpoted a Rott/german shepard mix. He's only 7 months old and can already knock me over.

What a cutie. I'm also all too familiar with strong dogs, our Great Dane is 90+ lbs, and if she wants me to move, I move no matter what.

Lady is such a puppy - big and strong puppy. It's been a long time since I've had to 'baby-proof' a house. No chewed up running shoes but 2 chewed up leather coats. (1 can be repaired the other can't)

She is learning what is okay. It will take some time but she is so eager to please. I'll have to take some more pics to share soon.

I just had to share this pic. Lady's training is slow and steady but each day she presents a new challenge. She had now decided the kitchen table should be her day bed so she can look out the window. Of course I had to take a picture before she learns not to do it anymore. The joys of puppyhood.

That is one big "puppy"!

A woman at work has one about the size of your Pup's head (and not growing much bigger than that, small breed).

She's toilet-training her pup at the moment and says, "Be clever, Bella" at the appropriate time - just hope that not too many people in her future tell her what a clever girl she is!
