Van Helsing

Has anyone else seen Van Helsing? I got it on DVD. What did you guys think of it? I thought it was good but a bit fakey in parts - about what you'd expect though from an action movie. I loved the effects they used that gave it a good "halloween" feel. Anyway, I would give it an 8 out of 10 as far as movie standards go. I would recommend you see it! :)

I just got done watching it, and you're right it is a little fake looking, but it still is a cool movie

That's because long hair is 'Gothic' - or so the film makers would like us to believe :)

yeah the long hair thing was also common for the time period I think. People took baths once a year so its not likely they had hair cuts either. Unless you were rich and took a bath twice a year. :)

I liked it. It was a little over the top in a couple places, but still a good movie. I really wish Hyde was in it more :)

Hellboy was alright. I think they could've made it alot better though. Parts of the story just didn't make any sense. Like after they blow the tunnel full of fire, suddenly hellboy is in chains? *scratching my head* Overall, I think it was just ok.

LOL. It was funny and over-the-top at parts, but I liked the Sucubus' or whatever they were. I didn't like the leading female's accent, but overall the movie reminded me of a comic book vs. old black/white horror movie. V. good for halloween.
