Wow the second opinion thread in two days... kickin...

Okay three things. One, how do i get rid of the scanline on his back/upper legs? ive tried everything i can think of so im thinkin' its high time i asked for help from someone else, cos i dont have the original anymore (on paper i mean) so i need to fix this copy up.

Two, what's his name? :P

Three, general opinions on the art and editing (this was coloured in photoshop, and the shadow was also added in PS)

(please bear in mind this is an original work, took me ages, please bear in mind that as an original work and character i would hate it to be used/re-used/displayed/stolen without my permission - not that i would give permission for it to be stolen... *cough*... - Not you though Jolt and Silkenfairy! I trust you! :D)

Wow, this image is really making the rounds, it seems I have been seeing it all over the internet...sorry, just kidding...as far as the scan lines go (is that the light area on the top of his pants?) just a simple job of the clone tool should do the job...same thing for the dark line across his back and left arm.

His name... Arkane

General opinion...it's is not really my style, but depending on what he would be used for it may be OK. Would probably fit nicely into a comic book. I like the starkness of the shadow it adds drama.

too bad you cant re-scan it in, most scanner programs have a feature where it removes most of the ugly scan lines from the image.

his name could be Garf. hehe

this would look awesome in one of those panel comic pages. :)

Very curious to see him facing... (or is it a turnback only character,...? you know, the one you never see his face but in the third episode :D)...

He's cool afterall, maybe the head is a bit too small and the hands size not balanced enough...

and the scanlines of course.

When using the clone tool, set the option to darken. This will darken areas that are light without affecting the surrounding areas that are the color you want them to be. Same goes for areas that are too dark. If you clone from a lighter area to a darker one, set the option for the clone tool to lighten. I use this a LOT when retouching photos.
