Hey ppl. I might just be sort of guessing around and picking at unlikely chances here, but are there any users here who are fans of Tool?

I could take this post in a whole different direction but Trin's a prude...and he'd stop me before I could type my whole reply. :D

Look, when I said "Hard jolt action", I was refering to the latest force-feedback gamepad!

Hey awesome there were actually some people here who knew what i was on about!

To Sam and Jolt, thank god for people like you hey. Everyone needs to open their minds a little more and its good to know that there are people who can appreciate the music that reinforces that belief. To everyone else, go listen! Awesome stuff :D

The avatar is from a webcomic called VGCats, very cool, very funny in its own style. Here's a quick look at the character the avatar is based on

PS - Have any of you seen the clip for Sober by Tool?

Hey Jimbo, I've been a hardcore Tool fan since their first album. They're my favorite "heavy" band. I've seen all their videos, and Sober is probably the best one. They just keep getting better and better. I haven't heard much of A Perfect Circle, but I really should give them a shot. I assume you know it's the same singer...

Oh yeah mate... I consider Maynard to be one of the best singing talents to ever exist hey! Its actually kind of a fascinating story how they got together hehehe. The drummer Danny Carey, felt sorry for Maynard and the guitarist Adam Jones (this is long before they become Tool) because the drummer theyd wanted to jam with didn't turn up, so since he was only living on the floor beneath Maynard in the apartment, he said hed sit in. Hehe, funny how the most tiny circumstances can end up producing one of the world's most successful and artistic ventures.

Sorry if you already knew that i found it entertaining ;)

I just feel sorry for the carrots.

Ever heard Divorce Jimbo>? Melvins and Tool just jamming. Really cool, except the slightly long drum solo (it's hard to get interested in a drum solo that goes on too long)

Yeah i have... it good hey. Have you heard the Rage Against TheMachine + Tool song? they never actually named it just got tagged as Revolution by rite of the lyrics, and it sort of stayed that way... I can't remember how the Melvins and Tool are linked but I know Adam Jones went to school with Tom Morello from Rage and they had a band together called Electric Sheep. Its funny how these people are all linked somehow :P

Just a quick question for anyone who has the answer though. What is meant in the Sober video clip by the wierd doctor guy who leads around the bent over man with the huge piece of machinery on his back??

(Just think... how many people are diagnosing me insane with their minds as they hear me ask this question. hehe)

*steps up* Tool are one of the most influential bands that I have ever listened to. Being already a confirmed and devoted Bill Hicks fan, the mindset of Tool were always going to be a logical progression.

I like APC too but mainly because of Maynard's vocal and lyric skills. Can't wait for the long rumoured new Tool album if and when it happens...

Wow dude, nicely Stepped Up. :D Hehehe. I heard a few things about Tool's new album... Apparently its quite heavy in comparison to Lateralus, and more musically centred than lyrically. Should be quite cool. Scheduled for early next year, but you know Tool :P they don't tend to play by he rules huh.

What did you think of Third Eye and just Aenema in general (being a Bill Hicks fan and all)
