Chat Problems?

Not that there is ever anyone else there, I can't get into chat through the java applet.
Is it just me? Following is my error message:

I fixed it.

There's no one there because Sil and I got kind of tired of just sitting there. It's really not used that much.

I've tried it a few times to get ahold of you, Jolt. But I guess it gets used so infrequently, it doesn't have your attention!

I really would like to use the chat more. Seems I had to switch to IE to get it to work properly. Firefox seemed to choke.

He hid the chat link because it was being used so infrequently. Scott and I would go in there and sit, and basically sit all day without anyone popping in. I'd love to have the chat window open during the day, but it's kinda pointless when it's just the two of us in there. Things are a bit slow on the site right now...not much in the way of posts and activity. Hopefully as the weather changes more people will be indoors and wanting to participate in the site a bit more. :)

It is a java thing too so no telling what that does to Firefox.

I think it's good to keep in store but really on a daily basis there's little use for it at the moment.

Is it possible to put a blinky thing on the homepage whenever someone is in the chatroom? I've gone in a few times in the evening to chat, but I get tired of answering myself after a while.

I just took on a heap of freelance work. It's 2:23am and I my baby's going to wake up in 5 hours. Then I'll be workin' for "The Man" for 8 hours. Then I'll be right back to where I started.

I'm afraid it may be a couple of weeks before I can get in on some contest action. Thanks for the encouragement! I'll be around for plenty of mental breaks!

Awww, blix...you don't have to give excuses! I know you've been busy. Jolt's been really busy lately too with work and freelance stuff. He doesn't have the "baby" excuse...well, maybe he does cuz his "baby" is feeling the pinch of him being busy. I know you'll compete when you can. As for mental breaks...take 'em when you can....:)

I don't know what Jolt wants to do about it. We'd love to have it up there as an option, but so few people were using it. We just missed you last night, Happy...Jolt and Taz and I were in there for a bit last night. Taz pm'd you but you must have already gone offline...:(

Maybe we could put it up there, and have a permanent message in the chat room to let people know that if they are in there and no one else is, they can always pm whoever they see online and ask them to join them in the chat room.

Sorry I missed joining in last night. Over the last few days, I've been having problems installing/config'ing MovableType to my site. It's all over my head. I downloaded the free version but I might just buy the license to have them install it for me. It gave me such a headache I headed off to bed early.
