That damn moth did my head in trying to get that feathery bit anything like right. Masking out the background and leaving a "fine hair" image proved REALLY tough (and a little beyond my capabilities for sure)

The third one .......

the detail would make or break it, I'd guess that was REALLY tough to do.

I like the first one as a bit of the tail is blocked from the edge of the pic making the jet appear to be coming out of the pic...The last one is interesting, but in my opinion not as exciting.

I'm going with the third one of these. Mainly because the other two look like the wings should have smashed through the sides of the frame (or smashed off). As to whether it would have been better than the one you used I think is, as Dave says, down to detail.
