Swirl Brushes

Hello there,
I just got myself registered here to ask this:

How do you make those beautiful swirl brushes?? I've tried everything (well, everything I could think of) but nothing seems to work... I can download them everywhere, but I would like to make my own swirls...

Could someone please help???
