First impression: Messy and frustrating
Second impression: Rich detailed, great art and interesting wooden art.

Suggestion: I don't really know if it helps, but try making a black "border"/darken spot around the image, to make a more discrete first impression :)

It certainly has potential, these type of things are not my fortÈ but I would say, giving the components a little translucency would help greatly.
