I haven't seen this done here yet so I thought I would give it a go. It is always nice to have an image of a person to asscoiate with a username, so here goes....

Hi my name is burndog and I am a pixel addict. burndog is a nickname I have had for years.I have been addicted to pixels for about 10 years now. During the day I am a graphic artist for a small sign company that has recently gone to digital output, so my photoshopping skills are only now starting to be used at work at my present job. Most of my design work is with Vector based sign production software. Previously I worked for a photofinisher where I did a ton of photo restoration and manipulation (replacing backgrounds, adding or deleting people or objects, that type of thing.)

I am from the prairies of Canada...yup it will get cold here soon, we had a rare early snowstorm just a week ago. Heavy wet snow that took down a few large branches and made toast of most of the flowers especially the sunflowers and anything tall. The snow is all gone now of course. Normally the snow comes around halloween.

My evenings are filled with keeping the couch warm and chasing after my two kids aged 8 and 9, and playing on the computer....told you I was an addict.

Enough about me, let's see some of your ugly mugs...don't be shy:)

Well we did have the bio thing not long ago. I am 40 years old, live in south Louisiana.
I have 4 sons and one grandson.

I graduated with a degree in graphics design and programming last Thursday. I am now looking for a job. Here I am ( I am NOT responsible for damage to eyes or monitors...the FBI insists I give that disclaimer before showing my pic....)

This is a great idea, burndog!

Hi, my name is Silkenfairy and I'm a pixel addict! My nickname has been with me for almost the entire time that I've been "online". I'm a (recently turned) 25 year old college student (elementary education major) who is on sabatical from college at the moment. I live in the Midwest currently (soon to move to Oregon to be with my hubby...wonderful man that he is). I have very limited "photoshop" skills, but I get by using Paintshop Pro 7...and I do mean 'get by'...:) My days are filled with Pixel Addiction, my hubby, and my young nephews and niece (ages 2, 3 and 1, respectively). They may not be mine, but I spoil those little angels rotten...:) My evenings are filled with my hubby, and helping PA grow better and better. I've had the wonderful opportunity to meet some amazing people in the online community, a lot of those people are now right here with me at PA. I am lucky in that I have very loyal online friends...and hope they know that they can always count on me as well. It's the main reason we always end up in the same place.

My happiness comes from my wonderful man...my family...my love for this site and it's members...and the hope that you all know how important you are to me.

I'm a munchkin from the land of Gnome. I smell like appricots and if you get too close to my bridge I'll suck the cartilidge out of your knee caps and cook it over an open flame to make Geldegrat, a delicacy in Gnome. Tastes kinda like chicken.

On my fourth birthday (that's 15 in human years) I was granted Hebrounds which is kind of like a driver's license for talking. It lets you speak all you want. I quickly used up all my priveledges and the Hebrouds was reolked leaving me unable to speak. Since that time my only form of communication is through typing or image enditing. I learned to draw rapidly in order to keep a conversation going. People in Gnome don't like to wait around for responses.

At the age of 10 my personality split. It hurt a lot. Kind of like lopping off a finger I suppose. There was no blood but man, the screaming was intense. My main personality returned to my birthplace in Gnome, Tuckersvana. A joyous place full of beer, ladies, and nicotine. While the sub-personality went on to college and grew up in a place called Colorado. Later it moved to the west coast of the US for a simple change. Oregon to be specific.

This subpersonality has been creating graphics and illustrations for nearly 16 years now. Ranging from simple newspaper advertisements to billboards, magazines, and corporate identity packages. He's been using Photoshop since version 2.0.7 and Illustrator since version 88 and, in all honesty, prefers working with Illustrator and vector art much more than pixel based applications. Recently he's been published in sbs Digital Design magazine and Illustrator CS Killer Tips. Slowly but surely he's working on that illustration career while paying bills through an in-house design position and freelance design work. He and his wife built this site because they wanted a fun place to play without fear of persecution (nuff said about that).

Here's a picture of both halves of us.

Hello I'm living in North Miami Beach, Florida. I started reading drawing as a kid (because of those damn comics) and never stopped. I moved from pencils, to inks, to airbrushing and eventually to Photoshop and Illustrator. I love all things art, photography. I've produced ads for Ocean Drive Magazine the MTV Music awards and other more boring stuff. :. Useless fact: I possess nearly 8 different technology certifications ranging from CompTIA to Microsoft and Cisco. Boring, huh?

Hi, my name's Candice, I'm a pole dancer and enjoy full contact knitting......umm, no..hang on..wrong memory...

My name's Trinity-of-One, well, no, it's not, can you imagine the teasing I would have got in school if it was, eh? No, it's a nickname, one I conjured up when I first started doing serious Photoshop contests, before that, I had many, many aliases.

I'm 36 and live in Lewes, England. I'm an ICT support analyst with aspirations of becoming a freelance Photoshop artist one day. I have a son, Josh, who's nearly 11 and live with my beautiful wife Jewel (who will return to PA, one day) and her daughter Elise.

I have virtually no traditional artistic talent but have found my niche with image montage/editing. I've been swapping people's heads, etc. for a few years now - some people actually tell me I'm quite good at it but I'm going to have to stop them, it's costing me a fortune. I'm also a keen, though not necessarily good, digital photographer.

I've known Silk and Jolt for about a year and was invited over to PixelAddiction when it was in its infancy. I've seen the site go through many changes to arrive at what we have now. I do not intend on going anywhere else!

Well, that about wraps it up, apart from the mug-shot, which, I might add, is posted under extreme duress :D

Hello,

My name is Andrew, I live in Sheffield, Britain. I am 33 years old, a Print style Mac Artworker by profession (I used to be a Studio/Production Manager but couldn't do with the politics and paperwork and decide to get back to getting my hands dirty. Also found an artwork job closer to home that paid more;) always helps.)

In my spare time I'm a Digital Artist (yeah right, believe your own press etc) I knock out pictures of things I WANT to paint not that I'm told to. Every now and then someone contacts me to paint a picture for them and then go away again when I explain that painting digitally takes just as long as painting traditionally and the prices are similar. Doh!

I've been using Photoshop since v.2.0.3 on Mac II's Along with QuarkXPress 2 and ALDUS Freehand 3 (Switched over to Illustrator at v.6 and not looked back since).

I live with my beautiful fiance Rachel who's an e-communications Manager for learndirect (Government learning initiative) or "web-head".

I have a wonderful 3 yo son Connor and Rach has a wonderful 2.5 yo daughter Kate, these two pretty much take up ALL our time, money etc. (and yes we do get funny 'How'd they manage that' looks from people when we're all out together.)

The shot is from about 3 month's ago at the beach.

No need to, (well maybe duped to a couple of Overlay layers LOL) trip to Mablethorpe beach one day. One of those; decide to go, 3 hour drive there, 2 hours chilling on an empty beach in the sun, 3 hour drive home; just for the hell of it things.

Was raining when we arrived and cleared up to a spectacular day within 10 mins.

Photo taken with a disposable camera bought while we were there.

Right then David? where's yours?

Okay you asked for it, this is my picture. It was taken at the castle/church/prison in the middle of Lancaster (a town in the north of England just outside the Lake District where we had an autumn break about two years back) at the top of one of the steepest town hills I've ever had true pain in climbing up. It was painful because I was in need of some heart surgery at the time and severe, well I say severe almost anything beyond gentle exercise was difficult for me then. Thankfully after the surgery I was as right as one could be having bits of metal rammed into ones arteries by a raging sadist that called himself a doctor .... :) Just keep on taking the tablets.

Any questions? I just might answer them.

Sorry Sil I don't have a goatee or whiskers or anything .... hope you still like me a little bit :)

Ok guys. I can't just post a pic of myself and not include my family. My wife and my 5-month-old son are my world. (Do I hear a collective, "aaaaawwwwwww") :)

Bio time:

Real name is Leon.
I'm 27.
Goatee Status: Impossible

Believe it or not, I was raised on Fixer and Hypo-Clear fumes in the basement of a haunted building. Yes, I really used to develop my own film and print by hand. Hard to believe for a young buck like myself, I know. I was a news photographer and that's what I had to do.

From the moment I saw Photoshop, I was infatuated. Years later I ended up working in a camera store/lab and had a chance to use Photoshop daily. After 4 years I came to my current lab where I do portrait retouching, restorations, and wedding album design. My wife and I shoot weddings on the side.

While I am a total geek, love tweaking computers, images and staring at status bars, I do love the outdoors. My wife and I hike, bike, camp, swim, surf, climb, and run together when we can -although that is a lot harder to do with the Baby Boy.

My avatar is a reflection on my love of music. It doesn't matter to me what it is, I just love music. Acoustic to electronic. Although to get me through the work day, my recipe is green tea and drum&bass. My forum name has nothing to do with Hans Blix. I just stole it from him because I wanted a single syllable name that could have come from The Matrix.

Thanks to burndog for starting this thread. I was thinking of doing the same thing, but didn't have the guts! I'm glad to put faces with these posts. You all keep me company while "The Man" has got me slaving over this keyboard all day.

Back to work for me!

Here my ugly mug, complete with kung-fu eyebrow action!

Now with Bio!

I was born at a very young age, and have grown constantly for 30 years. Thankfully my growth has stopped around 6'2", but my hair stopped growing at 6'1/2", hence the baldness. I shave my head to diminish the baldness, and to try and hang on to my youth as much as possible. I've been happily married for 5 years, and unhappily for 1. Just kidding. We just had our 6th year anniversary, and it just keeps getting better. We don't have any kids yet, but we have 2 dogs and 5 cats (one of whom has been missing for a month :( ). I work as a quality analyst for a computer call center, and my wife's a teacher. I've been photoshopping for about 2 1/2 years now, mostly at 'the other place'. I like entering contests here because my odds of winning are actually high with so little entries. But that will probably change soon enough, and I'll go back into hiding. That's about it for now, I'll keep you updated if anything interesting happens in my life.

WOW Some great BIOS!

I don't feel like the oldest person here anymore. :) My name is Karen. I have been MsWings since I started on the internet about 8-10 yrs ago. I used to own an Angel shop, so that is how I got my name. Had customers to come in and call me MsWings...so it stuck.
I am in my 40's, divorced for 12 yrs. And just haven't found the man of my dreams yet.
I know he is out there somewhere. LOL I was born in Kentucky. Moved to South Carolina at age 16, and have been here since. I love it. Only an hour away from the mountains, and a few hours from the beaches.
I have a daughter, Melissa, married and having a baby in March. I have a son, Josh, who just recently graduated from college, is a project engineer, and getting married this May.
One pic is of my son and daughter at his graduation celebration. The other one is of Josh, Jordain (his fiance) and one of my favorite nieces...Abby.

Then this is a pic of me as a child and a pic of me now. (Hope it didn't scare you)

I have been a member of PA long before it was opened for business. Was invited by TinCupid. A great dear friend of mine. (Yes, he is in SC too) I am still learning so much from here. I enjoy the forums and tutorials, contests, and meeting so many new people. Unfortunately, I have had a back problem that has restricted me from sitting to long and haven't been able to be here much. And I sure have missed being here too. But I will be back and I hope able to complete in the contests again and work on more pics using the tutorials. And thanks to all of you who have put so much time into those tutorials for us. Great way to learn.

This is a great place to be. I have missed you guys so much. :sob:

Hi Everyone. Sorry to for the delay in posting. I've just returned from vacation and all. So you want to know a little about me?

I've been photoshopping close to two years now, though I have been creative most my life - just not in the digital world. I enjoy oil/acrylic painting, sewing, drawing, and anything else that will keep my hands busy. Though I have sold some of my artwork, it is mostly done as a hobby. I've found once money becomes involved some of the pleasure disappears. I've also been getting more involved with photography and the digital darkroom.

I am a secretary employed at an ivy-league university. Our department works with the international graduate students helping them improve their spoken English and prepare them for becoming teaching assistants. I have said it many times but it is worth repeating. I love my job. I enjoy meeting the incoming students and their wonderful, different personalities and cultures.

I'm 45 years old and have a daughter who recently turned 24. From time to time you may hear me refer to her as 'Brat' but that is definitely a term of endearment. I've been divorced for about three years. That won't last for long since I am engaged to a wonderful man.

I am extremely happy to be part of this community and look forward to getting to know everyone in this new family.

Hi all!
I'm a late entry into this site, although I have been an occasional lurker.
I consider myself an extremely lucky guy since I have a wonderful family (beautiful wife Marlene, 17 year old Stephanie, Mike 15 years old), and get paid to work full-time in the world of Photoshop. I work for the National Association of Photoshop Professionals (NAPP) where I spend pretty much every waking hour in Photoshop: writing articles about it, filming videos and DVDs on it, answering questions about it, etc. In my "spare time" I was able to write a book on Illustrator CS (that included wonderful art from Jolt), I am the Graphics Editor for Mac Design Magazine and Editor-in-Chief for the (new) Photoshop Elements Techniques newsletter. Twice a year I teach at Photoshop World and once a month or so I teach in various cities around the country.
I'm a Canadian now living in Florida which basicaly means I don't know how to pronounce or spell anything any more!

(Okay that was long)

I am overwhelmed by the quality of work I see in the contests here! You people rock!
I hope I can pop in now and then to add in my 2 cents.

Aw, okay....now that I fianlly got through reading the thread, time for me to introduce myself.

My real name is Stephanie, but I've gone by Sturi since I was a sophomore in high school...what, 6 years ago....wow, I'm getting old ::runs for cover as members start throwing things at me:: I'm only turning 20 this year...two days...whaoo...wait...STILL not fully leagal in the US! Darn! Oh well, another year will only make my fourth or fifth trip to Vegas even better! :)

I live out in the hot desert of Az....it's a dry heat...yeah so what...it's still miserable being out of air conditioning. Right now I'm a third year college student...I'm going to community college right now in Scottsdale. I eneded up taking a two year side trip from my original degree choice (Business Management) and did an Associates degree in Equine (Horse) Science. It was a blast and it really opened things up for me as far as the horse industry goes. When I FINALLY do finish college, I want to figure out how to start my own horse breeding farm.

As far as my computer graphic skills, "I have no professional training." Hehe. I've always loved art, but never was any good at coloring in real mediums, so I found out how to color my drawings using Paint Shop Pro about two, maybe three, years ago. Now I'm trying to transfer over to Photoshop....it's turning out to be both easy and hard...I don't know where anything is anymore!

Okay, here's my lovely photo....

Okay...for some unknown reason, I'm particularly slow in the area of figuring out how to upload images to the message board....

Here's a link to the image, unless you just want to go the easy way for now and just move to the next post where Dave was kind enough to point out that Angelfire can really really suck sometimes, and post my image for me (how long it'll stay there might be another story ;) )

Okay, now Angelfire sucks absolutely....no linking for me.....blarg...

Here's the url:
http://www.angelfire.com/az3/sturiart/images/StephAntigua.jpg

This is a pic of me from last year in November...Thansgiving to be exact....we were in Antigua for a wedding and a vacation....it was so awesome....can't wait to go back again. :)

Dave
10/15/2004, 02:26 PM
Sturi dear you will have post your image here, Angelfire blocks them.

See where it says manage attachments just below the reply entry box .... load it there, there are size limitations so ....

Ahhh not to worry ...... Here's Steph (she's sooooooooooo old! LOL)

Sturi
10/15/2004, 03:01 PM
Hehe...thanks, I didn't know that. As far as uploading as an attachment....I couldn't get it to upload, and I couldn't find any specifications on file size. for attachments. Blarg.....

Hi! My name is Dave. Yes another one. Anyway, I'm 35 years old, married to a wonderful girl Emily and have two sons, Curtis who just turned 2 on the 19th and Logan who is 6 months old. I love photography but seem to have picked up the illustration bug after looking around. The last time I've done any real artwork was...well... lets just say a while ago. In fact, airbrushing was something that was done out of a real airbrush, not a computer program. But I'm willing to give it a go. I have a photo of me and my two boys. Getting a picture of Emily is a bit difficult. LOL!
I'm looking forward to getting started. I might need a little help getting my artwork colored in PS, but after looking around I'm sure someone can help. I'm also toying around an idea of creating a comic related to my line of work, Correctional Officer. I've been a "prison guard" for 9 years and counting. Not the greatest job but it pays the bills. Anyway here we are. see you all around! Well... I tried to uplaod an image but I kept getting an error message. Not enough space. I'll try later! Bye!

Any size is fine Dave. The forum will restrict the image with to 550 pixels wide so you may not want to post anything larger than that.

Adorable little ones, Dave! Thanks for taking the time to post in here...it's so nice to be able to put a face to the names. :)

Sturi, thanks so much for posting in the bio thread. I love being able to associate names with faces. I'm also a Paintshop Pro user, and have found that it's always suited my needs just fine. I know Photoshop is a more intricate program...lots more options...and if you're in the process of learning how to use all the features, there are an awful lot of very talented folks here that use Photoshop and I know they'll be able to help you out with just about anything you need to know. I look forward to seeing some of your work in our contests soon!

Welcome again to PA...:)

If there is still room for one more vict... um, member shot, mine's here, I hope!

Brief bio: I'm married with two offspring, work fulltime in an uncreative environment (clerical admin. medical setting), and have a rep. for churning out cards and posters for family and friends.

Until I recently started with Elements, then Photoshop, I've horrified the better informed by using Word and Publisher for everything. Then came the idea for a project for a sibling at Christmas where I needed more scope, hence the need for better tools!

I joined three PS forums around the same time and one by one they closed down for shifts to new servers - hmm, suspicious... and apt to make one paranoid for a while. (Joking, really!)

Anyway, pleased to be here and to learn from you all. And I hope to be in a position to give something back along the way - eventually.

My big sis and older brother were extremely talented artists. They 11 and 14 years older than me. So when I was little, i would watch them draw with amazement. I started drawing and was OK but never great. Well actually, i have a knack for looking at a drawing/illustration and being able to pull off a duplicate. I never counted that as "being able to draw" so i started stealing a part of one drawing and combining it with parts of others. Comic books were my favorites. My cousin mike (meatlump) started doing the same, and soon we were having "drawing contests. Our parents used to play cards all the time and we started having these Head to Heads a couple times a week.

Well we both went to the same school for the same graphic design program (seperated by 3 years). It is really no wonder that we were both drawn to the idea of photshop contests and competing in digital versions of our earlier contests.
That is a basic history of how i got here.

Professionally I'm an art director (currently in pharmeceutical design) in northern NJ. I live in central jersey with my wife and twin 12 year old boys. They like to skate and draw and mess with computers and video games. They are receiving a very thorough schooling in adobe products :)

Other than that, I love to work in my garden, play hockey, watch football, and hang out with my family and friends. I'm also a huge halloween freak. I got married in October, my dog is named Tober, I'm drinking from a pumpkin mug right now, planned our disneyworld trip for halloween, and believe that no child should have to go to school the day after trick or treating :)

This work for you sil? :)

*Pieew* Now i've read through al these 21 pages. Really nice to know who is roaming these forums a little better.

I can say that i must be the youngest here (probably not, but let me think that :)). I'm 20 years old and i live together with my girlfriend Charlotte in Västerås, Sweden.

Currently i'm taking a year off from my education. I study to become a information designer (don't know the exact word in english). Any way - you know those small pics that explain news in papers, warning signs on different products, how-to guides for (ex) putting togehter an ikea furiture etc etc. In short; producing pictures that explain stuff. Now on my year off i work at a local computer company where I aswer the phone all day :P.

On my spare time i also DJ and is running a reggae, dancehall & hiphop club called 'Solid'. You can peep our website: www.looptroop.nu/solid (although you probably won't understand anything - it's in swedish ;))

Well, that me in short. Feel free to ask me anything as i know i'll will be a long runner on this forum..

Don't worry YMS, you have already been added...swillox, I have added another floor, but I can only add pics til the end of the week, as I may not be able to get to my computer for a while (bsmt reno). If you would like to take over that would be great. At the end of the week I will upload the low res image of what we have so far and then email Jolt the high res version so he can put it on the server.

I just did not want to let it go on for too long, as there are people who have posted for a few weeks now and still do not have their pic in the comp, and it would not be pratical to keep uploading everytime someone posts, so I felt I had to cut it off somewhere.

swillox

Thank you Burndog,...

You're right when you feel cut it off somewhere, it's true we got a certain number of people logging in for a day and never seeing back again... bla bla bla,...

I'm ok to take over the building (when Jolt has leaved the link to the high res...) and will do it till 30/12/2004 day I'm asking for a new volunteer to begin the "2005 condo" (if everybody's ok with the idea keeping this one called 2004)...

So,

I took me a while to get through all of these posts,, but I think I can say I know alot more than I did before. So that being said I'll stroke my ego and talk about me now (because after all, who wouldn't watn to hear about me j/k)

My name is Josh I live in California, I hold a degree in molecular biology with a minor in chemistry specializing in virology (viruses). Which, could only get me work in one type of field (the kind that you don't want if you have a conscience), so instead of finding ways to destroy the world, I went into a job protecting threatened and endangered species. I loved that job a lot and it gave me a new prospective on things. I soon there after met the woman who would end up being my wife. She has a background in zoology, so I began learning about exotic animals. We became members of the San Diego zoological society (don't ask how much that costs me a year) on one of our trips we tooks the picture below. Since then I have been dabbling in digital photography, and digital media. I also got a Masters degree in project development and cost benefit analysis while I was at it. Pretty soon we will be having the pitter patter of little feet around our house and I'm really excited about that.

Well there you go a brief summary of my life. If you would like to more feel free to ask.

And if you're wondering about the look on my wife's face. The Giraffe just got done wrapping it's 17 inch long tongue around her ear.

Hey Claven thanks for the comp on the photo, as for the smarts, I'm just really good at problem solving. The last IQ test I took put me a 200. I qualified for MENSA, but I just don't fit in with that crowd.

Mensa.. yeah.. $500 to join.. you'd have to be a moron... :) I always thought that was kind of ironic.

You got it, and all they do is sit around and solve problems that are pages upon pages long, and take weeks to solve.

I don't think so. I'd rather be out having a good time with my buddies.

Wow, Josh...I'm terribly impressed! I feel like my IQ just went up 10 points just reading your bio....:) We're really happy that you're here. We may not always be able to stimulate you intellectually...but I bet we can give you a run for your money artistically...:D

Again...welcome!
Hello :) My turn then. I’m new to PA but already an addict :D

I’m 30, female, a recovering Goth who spent years in a band interspersed by time at Uni studying first fine art, and then later returned as a mature student to study general IT. I started my art A level when I was 14 in my precocious brat phase, but boys, rock music and a dislike of drawing fruit caused me to leave it until I was older. I’ve been working as a web designer for about 7 years, but career progression now means I have to do boring project management and complex web architecture most of the time rather than the fun creative bits.

I only started using Photoshop about a year ago and before that used mainly Flash and the Corel suite (hangs head in shame). I’m relatively new to digital illustration and painting (instead of commercial logos and web site styles), and with such a dull day job I really appreciate the contests as they give me something to focus on whilst I’m learning.

More random facts about me: My favourite film is Withnail and I, I love Bill Hicks, I am Taurean, I live in Yorkshire, I have a daughter, my eyes change colour naturally, I am Pagan, I am the admin of a site with 26K members and the only colour my hair hasn’t been at some point is green.

This is one of my favourite pics of me and mini-me when she was younger :)
It's great to "see" you, bohemian! And let me first say...your daughter is beautiful (and she obviously gets her looks from her mom!) And you're an admin at a REALLY large site! PA must seem awfully tame compared to what you're used to. :)

I look forward to seeing more of your work soon!

Thanks for the comment Silk,

I have spent the last 27 years of my life working on the scientific side of my brain. It's time to start working on the artistic side.

What a beautiful pair you are! Nice to meet you!

I had to look up "Taurean." I thought it was some "old world" village. Then I found out I'm Taurean!

A little more of an introduction.....

My name is Jeni and I am 32. I've been teaching art in very small school district in central Illinois for 9 years now. Until about 4 years ago I taught k-12, but due to a consolidation and having a minor in communications, I was needed at the high school and now only teach High School (my prefrance). I also teach speech (public speaking) and publications (yearbook). I also direct our theatre productions in the spring.

I've worked in photoshop for the last couple of years, but have basically only used it for drawing/painting and yearbook editing. I have yet to learn all the good stuff!

My husband and I love to travel. This Christmas, we are heading for the Panama Canal on a 12 night cruise. Counting down the days!

Most of my interest involve around the humanities - art, photography, theatre, music (instrumental and choral), etc.

No kids, thank you. I think you need to be a grown up before venturing off into that area and I am not deffinately not ready for that yet!

I am so happy to have stumble across this wonderful community - I have learned so much already. Thanks for being so friendly and helpfull.

Oh jeezeee.....

You are all so young and beautiful!!! I have the Rolling Stones (via 1973) blasting in my earphones....cause my teenager said she has to sleep ....and can take it, no-more! I feel so honored to be a part of this magnificent group of talented individuals! I've never posted a pic of myself ....anywhere.....but tonights the night......(Okay...thank the Smirnoff Vanilla)

First is the sculpt I did of myself and learned the hard way that self-harning clay is crap, (my head fell off two days after this pic.) The 2nd...well I guess is me. I'll be 40 in less than a month, and I must admit, I am not taking it well!

Regarding the sculpt...I promised my spouse (of 17 years) I would not start a new artistic project till I finished the old ones. So today I threw it into Painter ( the scan)and at least colored it. He assured me I wasn't that fat......but ya know at my age...believe nothing a loved one tells you!

Well...so this is me. Arthritic knees & hips and all. A word to younger ones...live life a little slower, get involved with your graphic arts and hurt less when your my age!!

Linda dear you should listen to your husband, he's telling the truth, you look good girl! (I can say that being older than you). Not only are you good looking but you've got good taste in music ..... just play more Beatles music :)
