So I was thinking 'bout this & asked re if it's possible to do so...seems 2b ok with the higher forces...ty :)

Would anyone be interested in doing a 4worded image search themed match...not sure what catergories re: year, colour or wat-eva we can do, maybe the community would like to pitch in?

So lets see where we can go from here....:)

The idea is to search for four images using pre-given random words (e.g. blue, 42, egg, ardent) on Google Image search and then use those four images to make a new image from the elements of them.

Maiden is an expert at doing this, trust me :)

Maiden, you, PDG, Blix and Siouxie can Send source pics to webmaster(at)pixeladdiction(dot)com and we'll create a thread to displaying the source images. We'll then add a link to that thread in your entries.

We can do two separate contests and then have the winners go up against each other....or we can do just two separate contests...or one large contest. Just let us know what you guys want, and the particulars of the contests themselves...:)

Rules: In this Cage Match, the contestants must perform a Google Image search for the words quoted below and use those images to produce one collage. Only one entry per contestant, please.

Two contests of two, and then the winners of those will go against each other...making a final total of 3 contests.

Words will be supplied by an admin and posted in the contests when they are active for submissions.

Contests will be open for submission as soon as I get the rules finalized and get them posted.

Now...does it make any difference who goes up against whom? And we need the "yay" or "nay" from each of the four parties involved that they are indeed going to fulfill their obligations.

Good idea. Just to make sure I'm clear on this- Four words will be posted. I go to Google, punch in each word for Image Search, choose my own four images and go to town. Are we limited to four images or only four words? Don't want to leave any details out.

Hmmmmmm no one specified when you set the matches up. If you can't vote on your own entry I'd suggest you don't vote on your opponents, but I may get overruled of course as the rules of PA say you should vote in contests that you participate in.

On the other hand it may already be too late to close that particular barn door one way or the other.

With such a small number of voters at present (about 10-15?) I'd suggest that contestants in cage matches do NOT vote on their opponents image, I assume they can't vote on their own.

haha! Yeah, you're right. I soooo wanted that Cinema Display for my new setup, but just couldn't do it. Everything I read about LCDs had a subtle message:

"DO NOT USE FOR COLOR CRITICAL WORK!!!"

So as I mentioned in the other thread, LaCie CRT for me!

I've always found LCDs too bright/contrasty but then I only have cheap ones at work and Apple seem to have worked their way around it.

My LCD is so awesome, its an Samsung Orion or sumthin, anyways, most people in my class goes like "Man, LCD's suck, if you look from a bad angle you cant see shit" well mine is not like that, my dad payed 4,000 KR for it, it should be worth it.

Actually. I've got LCDs at work and CRTs at home. I prefer the CRTs. The LCDs are pretty color accurate (Sony) but they just aren't as crisp as the CRTs. I haven't had any color problems since getting the LCDs at work. But I calibrate like a madman :)
