:waving: Hi and Bye for a while since I'm going away on vacation. I won't be entering the next two waves of contests, so I'm a little sad. However, I'm excited about traveling and taking lots and lots of photographs. We'll leave New Jersey on Friday morning and will be gone for 10 days.
Travel plans = heading down towards Virginia (Rt. 15) - cross the mountains (maybe see some hillbillies) - passing through scenic areas of West Virginia - stop to see some rather spectacular white water rivers - spending some time at Scenic Railroad state Park- continuing through West Virginia - going through cathedral state park which has highest point in WV - also seeing covered bridge south of Grafton WV - head into Kentucky - see mammoth caves - may also see shaker museum - going thru Bowling Green - stopping off in Fairview KY to see Jefferson Davis birthplace (relative of mine - yup I have confederate blood running thru me) - Coburn KY to find original Col. Sander (KFC) cafe - following Natchez Trail into Tennessee - stopping by more hillbillies - naw just my parents - in TN stopping by Loveless Cafe from the 40s, seems interesting - stopping by Appalachian caves and also the lost sea caves - continuing towards Chattanooga cog railways - maybe hit Memphis TN- possible blue ridge mountains - continue heading up east towards home - depending on weather up east coast.
Nothing concrete - just packing the '71 Chevy camper :hippy: and going.
:bye:
