Something I've been pondering:
Apple's compact computer is called 'iMac'
Apple's Basic laptop is called 'iBook'
Apple's portable MP3 player is called 'iPod'
Apple's lifestyle software is called 'iLife'
Apple's music software is called 'iTunes'
Apple's photo sorting software is called 'iPhoto'
Apple's movie sorting software is called 'iMovie'
Apple's DVD authoring software is called 'iDVD'
Apple's Calendar software is called 'iCal'
Apple's device/information synchronising software is called 'iSync'
Apple's browser software is called 'Safari'
Why isn't it called 'iBrowse'?
:.
You're right! what gives? It's pretty funny -this marketing catch-phrase phenomenon they created. As soon as Apple started using "i" this and that, everybody and their mom decided "if you just add 'i' to the beginning of your product, you'll sell millions!!!" The funny part is even after cheapie knockoffs that disgrace the "i" usage have tarnished the name and even made a mockery, Apple keeps on using it.
(sometimes! ie: Motion)

The Amiga's best browser (at the time I had one) was called IBrowse.
Should the shareware version be called Plucked iBrowse? :)
LOL!!! That is hilarious! I should have seen it coming!
So what's a mac user called?

Sorry but I could not resist posting this (http://ijaculater.com/home1.htm), it was in the b3ta.com newsletter and is completely and utterly unsafe for work (and pretty much everything else for that matter) but it is topical for the thread :)
